A Journey Through The Chakras

Master your mind, increase vitality and consciousness in this 8 class course

This 8 week Kundalini Yoga course will take you on a journey through your chakras. Chakras are energy centres in your body. When an energy centre is blocked or inactive it leads to imbalance and dis-ease in the body. This course supports you to balance your chakras. Your Chakras are also responsible for the solution to healing past traumas, building lasting relationships, breaking through financial blockages, unleashing creativity, manifesting ideas and achieving your goals on an energetic level.

Week 1: Root Chakra (Muladhara). It is the realm of habits and automatic behavior. When it's balanced we are grounded, centered and secure. If it is not balanced it leads to fear and insecurity. We become depressed and hold onto anything to make up for our lack of security. The Kriya (Yoga set) will focus on balancing this chakra.

Week 2: Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana): A practice for the second chakra which is located in the lower abdomen and associated with the sexual organs, reproductive glands, kidneys and bladder. If it is balanced your world is passionate, you are motivated and creative and we can lead responsible relationships.

Week 3: Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): This kriya is for the third chakra, your navel point, which is located about 2 fingers below your belly button. It is the center of willpower and commitment. When it is balanced it leads to inner balance and inspiration. If it is not balanced and too weak a person will compensate. It can lead to the feeling of not being enough and not having enough energy, so stimulants might be used as a compensation.

Week 4: Heart Chakra (Anahata): The heart chakra is located in the middle of the chest on the breast bone. This practice will work on opening it. An open heart chakra is associated with compassion, kindness, forgiveness and love. Physically it is associated with the lungs, heart and thymus gland.

Week 5: Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): It is located in the throat and is also associated with your thyroid gland. A balanced throat chakra leads to better communication and authenticity. It is the center for truth. This is where the manifestation process starts. In this set we will be working on strengthening your neck muscles.

Week 6: Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): It is located between the eyebrows and connected to your pituitary gland. It's the center of your intuition. This set is designed to improve your intuition.

Week 7: Crown Chakra (Sahasara): Your crown chakra is actually located on top of your head, like a crown. It is also known as The Tenth Gate and associated with your pineal gland. It is the seat of the soul and connects you to your highest self. This practice is designed to balance the energy around your crown chakra.

Week 8: Aura: Your aura combines the effects of all the chakras, therefore if all your chakras are balanced your aura is strong and radiates further. It is also your protective shield. The kriya we will work on harmonizing your electromagnetic field to help with your presence in the world.
